Uniforms: Not just for customer-facing staff?

Uniforms: Not just for customer-facing staff?

When you think of uniforms, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a hotel or airline employee in a matching outfit. However, uniforms have evolved beyond just customer-facing roles. In fact, uniforms can benefit all kinds of workforces.

At Arrow Uniforms, we believe in the power of uniforms to broadcast the quality and security of your brand. Here are some reasons why your workplace should adopt a uniform that can benefit the different departments of your company:

Unity Across Your Team

Uniforms create a sense of unity and identification within a group. By allowing your team to wear a uniform, you are ensuring that they are great representatives of your brand both inside and outside of the workplace. This creates a sense of assurance for both your team and your clients.

Simplifies Dress Codes

Uniforms convey both "Do's" and "Don'ts" when it comes to workplace attire. By providing a uniform option, you are setting expectations for the rest of the work wardrobe. This makes it easy for your staff to stay in-line with the dress code, and for you to guide them back on-track if required.

Functional and Professional

Uniforms provide a seamless and professional look for your team. This can be especially beneficial for corporate events and group photos. However, uniforms can also improve staff workflows and efficiencies through their functional properties. Having the right workwear to meet the department’s needs can make all the difference. So, whether its lightweight and breathable office attire or durable jackets and trousers with multiple pockets, the uniform is purpose built and value-adding.

Formal or Flexible – Your Choice

Gone are the days when stuffy and ornate uniforms were necessary to display your staff's professionalism. In today's world, comfort and unity are just as important. Consider updating your uniforms to high-quality items that are designed to meet the needs of your staff. While a mandatory 5-day uniform policy may not be necessary, offering the option to wear cohesive attire can make a great impression at corporate events. With a few simple changes, you can create a cohesive and comfortable look that will make your staff feel confident and professional.

Our Team Uniform journey

Originally Arrow had an optional casual uniform for the team and while this met our needs in the short term, we soon realised that we needed something more. Now, we have an updated team uniform that includes more formal, purposeful pieces designed to help us look and feel the part in everyday business or in event settings. This includes more functional trousers and jackets that meet high-vis requirements for the operations team, and comfortable business attire and suiting for customer facing staff. Our own uniform journey was a great reminder of the importance and advantages of uniforms.

Uniforms are no longer just for customer-facing roles. That They can benefit any kind of workforce by creating unity, reducing dress code violations, and providing a seamless and professional look. At Arrow Uniforms, we offer a variety of options to match your brand guidelines and create a cohesive look for your team.
